With its large, open expanse of water and a full range of conditions, Port Phillip has time and again proved itself as an ideal place to sail Etchells.&nbsp; The Melbourne Fleet is very proud of the quality of racing we have each week and the quality of racing we host.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Etchells are by far the most popular one-design keelboat in Australia; attracting both local heroes and, when they are not at work on America\u2019s Cups, the Grand Prix Sailing circuit, or around the world races, the cream of Australian (and international) sailors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"397\" src=\"https:\/\/etchellsmelbourne.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/fleet1-1024x397.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-147\" srcset=\"https:\/\/etchellsmelbourne.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/fleet1-1024x397.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/etchellsmelbourne.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/fleet1-300x116.jpg 300w, https:\/\/etchellsmelbourne.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/fleet1-768x297.jpg 768w, https:\/\/etchellsmelbourne.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/fleet1.jpg 1379w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>An\nAustralian Championship is held every year and is rotated around the States in\nwhich there are Etchells fleets.
